The galaxy S22 is equipped with an incredible camera, and I just had to try and get some shots of the full moon with it!
It wasn’t that long ago that one could only get this type of shot with a DSLR, and it’s incredible to me how quickly technology has evolved.
In the first few shots, I focused on capturing the stars surrounding the moon. I wanted to get a nice view of both, so I adjusted my settings to optimize for that. Then, I zoomed out and made some more adjustments to the settings, aiming to take a wide shot of the moon in its full context. Afterward, I zoomed in to get a closer look at the moon’s surface, tweaking the settings once again to capture more detail. Looking back, I can’t help but wonder if the shots would have been even sharper and more precise if I’d used a tripod to stabilize the camera. That extra support could have helped minimize any small shakes or blurriness from holding the camera by hand.
Regardless, still very impressive. And, I’m glad we got shots of the Sturgeon Moon!
Love always,
Shantal
