First Ride, First Fall
It was a perfect morning to commute to work today, and get the first ride of the challenge under my belt. I felt good, strong, going up hills & coasting down them. I frequently go over train tracks, but this one was wet and going diagonal from where I was going. My wheel got caught between wanting to go forwards, and wanting to go sideways, and down to the ground I went on my left side. I immediately got up as I heard my chain clip off my bike, and was concerned more about the time since I was communitng to work. I quickly jumped up, propped my bike up, readjusted the chain back on the gears and saddled back on my bike. I went up the last hill to the bike rack at work and met up with my clairvoyant co-worker who soon caught an eye at my bleeding leg. Needless to say, she and my other co-worker got my leg all cleaned up.
Yes, I fell for the first time ever on my bike. But, it is like anything in life, you just have to get up, and get back on that ride! It helps to surround yourself with caring coworkers like little future MD Ines, Amanda with her clairvoyance, and both their sense of humor!
Looking forward to what adventure my next ride will bring. Until then, Josh helped get my baby wounds cleaned up, again, and ready to go for tomorrow š
